For My Beloved Sister... Sylvia
On the gound there lies a tattered leaf
As though a tree had shed a tear.
On it's branch a bird sings out it's grief
For you are no longer here.

The grass has stopped it's growing
The roses lost their perfume
And the wind has ceased it's blowing
No where do flowers bloom.

Dear sun, please raise your golden head
And make this darkness perish.
Warm up our hearts and dreams instead
Light up the face we so cherish.

Let all the angels' eyes behold you,
Let your soul be in their keep
And let His arms with love enfold you
As He blesses your eternal sleep.
