You Color My World

When I was a little girl
I had so many colorful dreams.
I stayed inside my own little world
Planning little girl schemes.

Dreaming of everything I would be
As a lady on my own.
So many things were out there to see
If only I were grown.

Now those years are all behind me
Like colors of the seasons
My life has changed.
I never became all I wanted to be
Thru the years my dreams have rearranged.

Then out of the darkness you came along
And gave me new dreams to dream
You held me close and I heard a new song
As we danced beneath a moonbeam.

You color my world in shades of love
A love so brilliant and bright
But also as soft as the clouds in the sky
And as gentle as stars in the night.

Your love's like a rainbow
When the storm is at it's end
Filled with red and yellow and blue
And this lady becomes a little girl again
Dreaming new dreams of forever with you
