High on a mountain
I sat all alone
Holding my dreamcatcher
Waiting for the unknown.

I saw the coyotes
In the misty moonlight.
Slowly... coming toward me
In the middle of the night.

Seeking guidance from the elders-
Knowing in my dreams they'd appear.
I heard the native drums
I felt the spirits here.

Grandfather spoke to me
"Be not afraid Little Deer...
The mighty coyote's will guide you,
They will stay always near.

When you're unsure
Look into their eyes
The coyotes will never
Speak any lies.

They are loyal and strong-
Beside you when you need them.
They are your sisters and brothers
And always your friend".
