It's midnight and I'm alone beneath the moon
As I am every night at this time.
I think of all the midnights we spent together
Since that day we met on line.

I remember the first e-mail you sent.
You were so sweet and sounded sad.
We both had been hurt and lonely.
We each needed to fill a void that we had.

Who would have guessed from that very first note
That a love and a soulmate we'd find
And how could we know at that point in time
That my love would be the hurting kind?

So many nights we danced 'neath the moon
We laughed and we played and we loved.
As I wander through my dreams, I miss those nights darlin'
I miss you and the stars and the moon above.

We gave it our all, it just couldn't be.
I had to return and you had to move on
But I will keep watching for you in our moon.
My Love, it will always be Midnight in my Heart...
Until the end of time and this world is gone.
