I've been to this place

Many times before.

Each time searching

For something more.



I know you heard me Lord

As I asked for Your forgiveness.

You always healed my soul

No matter what my sin was.



Why am I always searching,

What am I looking for?

What is it that eludes me

As I pass through every door?



I have traveled many roads

And stayed awhile on quite a few.

I have crossed so many bridges

On my way to finding You.



I have climbed a mountain high

I swam the deepest sea

Now I've returned to this quiet place

I feel it's where I'm supposed to be.



Dear Lord, again I come before You

I bow my head and pray upon my knees

This time I've come to thank You for my blessings

Once more You've set my heart at ease.
