Out of the darkness she came
From where I had no idea.
All of a sudden I saw her
She was right in front of me... here.

How did she know where to find me?
I couldn't believe my eyes.
I knew I had to thank God
As I looked up toward the sky.

I lost her so long ago
Never thought I'd find her again.
But here she was standing there grinning
Just the way she did way back when.

Oh.. I'm so filled with joy!
And now I do believe
That this time I won't lose her.
I'll try never to let her leave.

I remember when she was happy,
So full of fun and loving life.
Long ago in another place
Before she ever heard of the word strife.

From nowhere she came tonight.
Did she know the depth I had fallen?
Oh Lord, I know it was You.
You heard me when I was calling.

You sent her back to me
My faith has seen me through.
You kept her safe and loved her
Until I came back to You.

She's still the little girl I remember
The one so filled with love.
And out of the darkness she came
You sent her to me from above.

She's the part of me that's been missing.
No wonder it's been so hard to go on.
Now that I've found her I promise
She'll never again be gone.

I look at her now looking back at me
Smiling and giving me hope.
This time if I just hold on to her
I'll always be able to cope.

She was lost for such a long time.
She's the child that time helped me forget.
In her little girl whisper I hear her
Saying... Please, don't give up yet.

Out of the darkness she came.
The little girl I longed once again to see.
Happy and loving and trusting
With a heart that once was carefree.

Out of the darkness she came
Bringing Faith, Love and Hope to me.
Out of the darkness a miracle happened.
I found the little lost girl that used to be me.
