An Angel In Disguise

When someone appears from out of the blue,

Whether it's a stranger or a long lost friend,

There's always a reason unknown to you.

It could be an angel that heaven sent.



Not all angels appear out of clouds in the sky.

Not all have wings or halos on their heads.

Not all are spirits or heavenly guides.

Some come to us disguised as friends instead.



I wonder if you were sent from heaven above?

You were a friend I hardly knew,

But soon our friendship turned to love.

I do believe you may be an angel too.



I love your goodness and your honesty,

You're kind, and giving, and gentle too.

You care about me and look out for me,

Isn't that what angels do?



I've heard that people come into our life for a reason.

Some stay forever while others seem to go.

But whether we're friends for a lifetime or only for a season,

We're here to help each other grow.



I hope you know how much I care,

And if you ever need me, this is all you have to do...

Close your eyes and think of me, my heart's already there.

You see... I could be an angel in disguise too.

I'm here for you, to care for you,

My darling, I will always love you.
