With the eye of an eagle,
On a mountain top, he sits calmly.
His time on earth at an end.
Still... he watches over his family.

Now, he sits along side the elders
Comparing how times have changed.
As they watch the children below,
On the mountain range.

His family seeks his guidance
In their time of sorrow.
They are confused and in despair
About the future of tomorrow.

His son has come to join him
Finding freedom from his strife,
But his family is left bereft
With all this sadness in their life.

With the eye of the eagle
He watches day and night,
Father and son protecting them-
Their family never out of sight.

He slips into their dreams
Each night, to let them know
They never walk alone.
Two spirits are beside them
...Wherever they may go.
